Legendary Korean Chef Cho Hee-sook of Hansikgonggan shares the secrets behind authentic Korean dishes: known as the godmother of Korean cuisine, Chef Cho has just been awarded the title of Asia's Best Female Chef 2020!

Cho Hee-sook is a living legend of Korean cuisine who has established the basic standard for Korean cuisine for 30 years. On receiving this accolade she shares tips and advice for aspiring chefs, what inspires her, and shows her typical Hansik dishes such as bugak, kimchi and jang.

Chef Cho is one of the few female experts in Korea who still works as a chef in the kitchen. Many other women in the industry work as critics or run cooking studios. Throughout her career,
Cho was known as a rebel in the kitchen. Her unique perspective had helped her find ways to
make simpler, more approachable versions of classic Korean dishes, and capture the attention of many of the big-name chefs making modern Korean food.
